looking at fitting bucket seats, harneses, roll cage and harness bar into my mr2 anybody have pictures?? ideas??

Eye bolts into the firewall are easier than a harness bar to attach your harnesses to.
A decent bucket seat is IMO a great upgrade to any car, i have a sparco evo and i love it- best upgrade on my car i reckon.

i have eye lits in bulkhead for harness & run a pair of bimarco bucket seats weigh 8 kilos each including alloy runners FIA aprroved till 2012
cost £475 the pair

THey only weight 8 Kilos?! how much weight saving is that compared to the standard seats?

quite a bit the standard seats are heavy cant remeber how heavy though sorry #-o

they came off of ebay mate,the business was in london i think, i think D1 use them sometimes

The new Cobra Monaco looks very similar and weighs about the same 8/9Kg got one in my MX5, about £130 each and has both base and side mounts.

If you want silly light on the cheap Cobra Clubmans weigh about 4kg (got one as my MX5 passenger seat), reason is there really is nothing to them, metal outer frame, but its not plated and uses rubber straps for support.

If your building a track weapon remember just how much the dash weighs.

I've seen people cut it in half in some cars. So they still the dash fitting

there is plates the other side of the fire wall,then you just put one eyelit in the floor either side of the base of the seat, on mine they are permenant so i bolted the cross straps straight to the seat belt original fitting on the outer

ive found a load of these in my car wen i purchased it,
also have a few on the floor around the belt assembly :-k

munnsy so did mine they were fitted in japan on mine i found the ones behind the seat by accident thought the carpet had split when i lifted it up found them under it, yours were prob fitted in japan as well ,it is common on the turbos,
the idea of the hoops is for quick release versions (check demon tweeks) of harness

ye possibly mate dont worry though ive now owned mine for ten years & as far as under body goes its in excellent condition,think of it as a bonus you have saved some money for when you fit a harness lol :thumleft:
