Gauging interest in my zircon blue MR2
Image

Ive have owned this car since Jan 2004 and has never EVER let me down !!!!
It has 110,000 miles on the clock, MOT'd till October 09 and just got 12 months tax so runs out June 2010.
Since I have owned it I have had a new clutch ( Oct 04 ), replaced 2 engine mounts, new radiator, new handbrake cables.
It also as half leather/alcantra seats from a Turbo.

It has a lot of history with the car from previous owners. Iam the 5th owner.
In its life it has had front foglights fitted at a Toyota garage also with genuine UK switch, as this model was not equipped with them originally. Also there is no power steering on this model, which has never bothered me as it is a lot of fun to drive!!!!
It also has a Mongoose back box and the airbox is replaced with an induction kit with homemade bracketry. I still have the original box and pipework.
The car runs on standard 15" alloys, these came with the car.

The car is totally straight and has never been in an accident, the bodywork is in very good condition for its age, the only bad thing is the sills, which will be getting done within the next few weeks.

Iam sure I might have missed something off, but any questions just PM me.

Iam looking for £1500 NO OFFERS WITHOUT TAX, TAX CAN BE INCLUDED AT COST.

Here is a short video of my car, please ignore the music !!!!! :bleh:

I miss my Zircon tubby

That looks in very nice condition, as with the others though, baffled why on a K plate it has an FE, no fogs and no power steering :-k

And is that spoiler a standard rev 3 one?

The FE engine was available on the rev2, I looked at buying another rev2 recently which had an FE engine and questioned it myself.

That's not a rev3 spoiler, though it is similar, the mounts on the bootlid arent far enough apart or at the right angle.

The car as a whole is worth that. The bodywork for its age great.
Most people do engine swaps anyway, so for a car with great running gear and a good body, could be a good basis, as for the engine, a lot of people knock it but ive had no problems with it, it keeps up with my Dad's 3SGE no sweat.....

Thanks for your opinion though

The 0-60 times on the fe engines are similar than the ge ones. I raced my mate in his fe and he kept up with me no probs, not as much power over 80 though 119bhp vs 157bhp. Nice car, same colour as mine :thumleft: Would be an exellent car for a v6 engine swap. 8)

Has it got rev 5 dials in it as well? Or are they the standard ones on a UK car? Mine were different to those, they just had the outer numbers.

No offence mate, as its a nice car, but I just let my REV3 T-bar go for £1650 with leather interior, OZ staggered rims, extras like momo steering wheel, in lovely condition with only 101,000 on the clock.

Its a buyers market and £1500 is REV3 money nowadays.

At £1200 you'd get a fair few enquiries, but the engine is a bit of a downside. I actually thought they only put those in UK G-Plate REV1's.

Good luck all the same.
