[Mk2] [Turbo] Indicator blinkers faster than normal

Post by Signori »

Hello, sorry for the noob question

Anyway, i had a border front end fitted, and got some new lights for it

These ones:

Since fitted the blinkers have been going at an increased speed. All my lights work so im not sure what the problem might be.
Any help is appreciated
Regards Gary

The new bulbs must be less resistant than the correct ones, it's a common problem on motorbikes when they replace the original indicators for tiny aftermarket ones, or the relay is knackered but I reckon it's the bulbs

If you absolutely want to keep the bulbs you can replace the flasher relay with a solid state one which doesn't vary the flash rate dependant on the resistance. Probably not worth it though as you then won't know when you're a bulb down :)
