[Mk2] [NA] whats this for

hi all please can some one help me the screw i have put the circle round was loose, so i screwed it in and the tapping noise i had went so i unscrewed it and the noise came back so what is this screw for please help because i dont want to brake my car thanx dave.

Actuator presure? I don't even know if an NA has an actuator.

Mines screwed down alot.

I am not sure what your circling exactly, but the actuator controls the ACIS or whatever its called on the NA, it just changes the intake runners to give better power output.

I know now :pray: HaHa, cheers for putting the record straight Trickster :thumleft:

Found out the answer to this yesterday of a friend of a friend who's building an NA engine at the mo.

Said is was to do with air flow at higher revs. Can't exactly remember what he said as it went straight over my head. Be the same as trickster says :mrgreen:

When at higher revs it opens up more to alow more air intake and the big block its attached to is to allow it to hold more air. Somthing along those lines

Sure he will join the club soon when he's put this engine in, I will make him. Bed of knowledge. :thumleft:
