I don't quite
'get' your post.
Is this something you have just been to, or something that your are thinking of going to?
Your post isn't than descriptive.
When i clicked on it to read more about it, i'mstill in the dark.

That sounded a good price etc, but on opening the post haven't a clue what your day is/was.

Sorry thought about it last night, 1st May
£38 on car limits.com no need for helmet or anything just turn up, high speed corner in
the morning, pub lunch, then 2 circuits in the afternoon there not massive but still fun.

I did this on Friday and I wouldn't call it a
'trackday' as it's a bit misleading.
They bill it as an
'Airfield Activity Day'.
It is good value, however, you'll spend most of the day queuing up as they only allow one car on the cornering section or circuit at any one time.

Nevertheless, it's a great fun day and you can learn a lot about how your car performs on the edge.
Andrew Walsh
- the guy who runs it and also owns the company
- is on hand all day and very helpful with tips how to improve your times on each event.
He REALLY knows his stuff regarding advanced driving/racing and is still very active in both respects.

The high speed corner is really good and you can practise all sorts of things such as improving your grip on the wheel
(sounds simple but really isn't at those speeds!), adjusting the balance of the car with the brakes in order to reduce the radius of the turn, controlling the car in a high speed slide, etc.

The circuits are more like simple slalom circuits.
.
.one quite short and twisty and the other much more open and high speed.
Both are around a minute but with 10 cars queuing for each, you'll be waiting in line for about 10-15 mins each time.

It's well set up and the pub we went to had good food and plenty of space.
If you haven't done much on the limit driving, I'd really recommend it.
Even if you have, you could still pick up some tips from the day or just enjoy hooning it around for less than
£40.

However, a trackday it ain't.

May take a look at this if I get my car back in time.
Could be a good way to get to learn how to deal with the new power.

Re: air field track day £38
May be up for this after my car comes back from MOT

Watashi wa Ant desu, BAKA!!!
Re: air field track day £38
Someone organised an IMOC day there a few years ago.
You can see some of the videos here:

Re: air field track day £38
I'll mention it to Scott about setting up another at some point.
It's certainly a cheap way to get to experience driving on
(and beyond) the limits of the car in a safe environment.

Re: air field track day £38
I did this a year ago and it was great fun and good value.
It a simple day but does give you some idea how the mr2 handles if you don't know.
Great few mr2 virgins.
High speed bend is fun.
Managed an 80mph.
Did a 1.05.2 for the short course.
Worth sorting one out for the summer.
