Clutch Slipping

Post by peenee »

My clutch is slipping on my 2.0 n/a mr2, what kind of job is it to change ? but i have also heard that it could be the clutch fork, anyone shed any light on this matter, ie does the engine have to come out.

I don't think the engine comes out mate, just the gearbox. i think most people quote about 4 hours if they know mr2s....

It is not difficult to change the clutch but could be daunting for a novice.Once all the crap is out of the way ie induction piping etc it is easier to see the top side of bellhousing. It is difficulr to find a couple of the top bolts I do it by feel. The underside is fairly straightforward as long as you have the correct tools. Its a case of taking your time and not getting stressed .
