Ebay flywheel.. Be aware!! Again!!

Post by -:[KM]:- »

OK chaps, as some of you may remember, I bought a 'lightweight' flywheel a few months back....

http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... ht=#957564

And now it's back up for sale. The seller knows it is just a standard wheel and refunded me the whole cost. Unfortunately, I was out of pocket still by £16 for the refund postage...

FFS

If anyone on here has put the bid on it with a highish 'maximum bid' all I can say is "cancel it!!"..

Leave him a Negative to warn others. Sellers cant leave buyers negatives now so it wont harm your feedback :thumleft:

Yeah, it was early-mid November last year when I got it off him... they've changed the feedback system since then (for the better - as you say)..!

Just got the following reply:

hi mate, i can assure you that this flywheel has been lightened on the back and who ever wins it will be able to clearly see and tell by the 3kgs taken from it! many thanks

So by all accounts he is definitely still claiming that it is a lightened flywheel, still its a bit dodgy lightening a standard flywheel as they can shatter at high RPM.

He'll be lucky, they're nearly hollow as they are. Have a look in my thread posted above. The pictures with the brown paper is the actual flywheel... :^o

I just said "Hi, You do realise that what you are selling is a standard 3SGTE flywheel"

Just stating the facts.

Says it weighs 7kg.. That one I bought weighed 7.1kg. So, a 100g saving... a Pot Noodle weighs 96g without water FFS!!
