Anyone fitted bi-xenon's

Post by speed »

Thinking of fitting a set of xenon kits to the car instead of just uprating the bulbs. How bad will the glare be to oncoming drivers as mr2 headlights aren't designed for xenons and will it make it difficult to mot.

Also am i correct in thinking that bi xenon means that the bulb will work for both high and low beam?

MOT not a problem as i could just mod a spare set of lights for the xenons and swap them over to the originals for the mot. So next question is would i be better to get a second hand set of mr2 lights to mod for the xenons or use these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/86-95-Toyota-MR2- ... 240%3A1318 which seem to be clearer than original lights with an extra lense bit in the middle. Would the ebay set throw the light from the xenons even better than originals.

You can get a set of Xeons designed for reflective style headlights, Im guessing these are the ones we want for the MR2 with stock headlights? -

Fits all vehicles which have projector or reflector headlights

they would be ideal but i think they'd work best when fitted in some of the ebay headlights.

I bought some for my mk 2 coz the lights were rubbish. When i removed the old bulbs they had 100/80w high wattage bulbs fitted allready.I fitted the xenons and problem cured.I think wattage doesnt always mean brighter lights-Jon
