CRN discs on Rev 1 - Simple question

Post by Martian_333 »

Hi guys

Will these discs fit my car with Rev 2 calipers (My car: 1990 Rev 1 Mk2 MR2 Turbo)

TOYOTA MR2 2.0 16V INCLUDING TURBO 1992-2000 SW20

FRONT DISCS ARE 275MM X 30MM VENTED 5 STUD // REAR DISCS ARE 281MM X 22MM VENTED 5 STUD

FRONT EBC PADS DP995 REAR EBC PADS DP1107

I assume I would need to bend back the heatshield (metal plate) in order to fit them? what do you think about that?

Would really appreciate your feedback on this

Thanks fellas

The discs sizes you have are correct for the front and rear if you have rev 2 calipers they will fit perfectly

I dont know what you mean about bending the heatshield?
You mean the dust shield that is behind the disc?
If so not really only if they are rubbing agaist the discs, but then you would hear them and you just tap them back a bit (can happen on any motor with a dust shield still on) those pads will fit fine

Hey Martian

I have just fitted these to my Rev1 and they're superb! :thumleft:

Well worth the money. I do recommend when fitting you grease the wheel nut bolts while there and also grease the disc outer rim and the inner (hub) ring as these will get orange spots on them. Obviously don't grease the part where the pad will meet the disc but before you get the spots it worth doing.

I didn't need to bend the dust guard at all, was a straight fit, no hassle.

Any probs fella, drop me a PM :thumleft:
