Wheels colours. What suits differents colour MR2's?

Post by GHOST »

My alloys are going to need refurbed but instead of the silver I was thinking of a gunmetal colour.

Whats the thoughts about that on a red car?

By the way, already had black wheels on it.

White or gold can look good on a red car, it depends on the style of the wheel though, in my humble opinion :thumleft:
My red one had white ,(pearlesscent), alloys when i got it but they had seen better days and it was easier to spray them silver.

Gunmetal can work with red fo sho, especially with 5 spoke... have you got a pic of the wheels?

Pics of my car in my garage Leeroy.

They're a staggered 12 spoke. I must admit they look good in the race silver but sometimes a red car can look a little stereotypical with silver wheels and I'd like something slightly different.

Not sure about the bronze, I'd have to see it on a 2. I did however see a goodwood green MK2 with Gold/bronze wheels on ebay last week and it look really classy. Saying that, gold does compliment dark green and black very well.

on my last red rev3, i had some 5 spokes 16s in silver.

looked lovely and clean with the wheels just silver.

but i think gunmetal and a polished lip is the way forward for red cars :thumleft:

my new wheels on my black rev3 are 16" 5 spokes, painted honda brilliant white (pearl) with a purple lip.

By asking your giving impression that your A. more bothered about what others think . B. without imagination. C. unwilling to make a statement.
I say B@LL@X to what others are doin and do what you want, if its what you like then its gonna be to others tastes. let people tell you they like the finish/colour ... and if they do'nt then that's better still .. YOUR UNIQUE.
besides ..can change em cheap enough!
