[Mk2] [Turbo] Fumes from only one exit

Post by G-force »

I've got a Twin exit exhaust, bought second hand. But the fumes are coming out only from the left exit and not the right. its prolly like 95% and 5% ratio (if that).

I'm sure this would affect my cars performance.

What could be wrong?

Could be normal, most cars with twin pipes do this on tick over, mine does it. Is it only comming from the left pipe pass side? try revving it then it will equal out most likely.

My old Dep II used to do this - it's just the exhaust gases taking the path of least resistance.

However, my Berk seems to be pretty equal. Could be because it flows better, not likely to make any difference to performance, though.

My Haywood and scott is the same. When cold you can always see it out of the left hand one, if you put your hand by the right side, you can still feel the exhaust gasses though :)
