[Mk2] [Generic] Door locks gone mad!!

Post by HighwayStar »

Hey all.
Just had my locks (both sided) go absolutely crazy.... constantly locking and unlocking whilst just sitting there idling. Has anyone had this before? Is it a relay problem somewhere?
Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers.

check the wiring in the door loom. Sometimes water gets in or a wire starts rubbing against the metal work causing this issue. UNless you have a Clifford alarm, in which case it's that fecking up ](*,)

Almost defo its the wire that runs from the back of the key barrel inside the door, into the door loom. A new one is 10-20 quid. They suffer water ingress and flick the doors from open to locked in a very random fashion. Word of warning, make sure you route the new cable in the same fashion as the old one, or you risk breaking it when you wind your window down #-o
