[Mk2] [Turbo] ****help changed engine but dont start now***

ive just fitted a new engine in my car.ive gone to start her today but it wont turn over.all the dash warning lights come on before i start it. but you can see power dies as im trying to turn it over.theres also klicking noise coming from the boot by the ecu and in the engine by the fuse box.please help shes been off the road now for 6 months and its driving me mad.

sure the clicking isn't coming from the starter motor???

sounds like a dead battery.

its not flat battery.its brand new.the engine was 2nd hand.ive also noticed when i turn the egnition on my temp gauge goes up a bit but dont now how the water is warm its been off the road with blown engine for 6 months

must be a ghost in the machine lol

could be a f*cked starter??

get somebody to turn the key while you listen, see if it's the starter that's clicking.

If it is the starter clicking it could just be a blown fuse for the fule pump...happened to me. good luck

oh, just another thing, brand new batteries are usually only charged about half.

i had the same problem, i had to get a booster box on it. all the lights etc were fine, just not enough power to turn the starter.

check the earth to the starter first before you change it!!! I thought mine was broke (clicking away and nor starting even with a booster pack etc

What engine came out? What engine went in? Straight swap like for like?
