come-backs for hair dresser accusations

so, when someone says "ooh a hair dressers car", what is your favourite come back?

I'm on a course at the moment and the instsructor has so far called it a rollerskate, a hair dressers car, and a hair drier. he doesn't like having it back at him though, when i called his 1.8 mondeo a piece of xxxx that is a waste of good metal, that would probably be worth more if he scrapped it than tried to sell it, he got offended. oh well.

TBH, things have moved on a little: most hairdressers will be driving Pug cabriolets, Merc SL230's or the like......?

Anyone who refers to our cars as "hairdressers cars" are most likely gonna be in their late 30's -early 40's, and be driving either some sort of boring diesel, people-carrier, or perhaps most predicatably.........:

TBH, no-ones ever actually said that to me, except one of my mates who was driving a citroen xsara diesel at the time, so you can't be upset by that. The conversation probably went like this:
"that's a hairdressers car!"
"If you say so. What do you drive?"
"Citroen xsara"
*silence*


Either that or ask why their wife won't let them have a toy to play with, followed by accusations of being p*ssy-whipped and doubts about their sexuality.

Really depends on what they're driving, but as has been said, so many people drave such sad little hatchbacks these days s'not really difficult to think of something.

However you could go for: "Yes it is, she gave it me as a thankyou for the best sex she'd ever had."

my MK1 is referred to at work as "a gay hairdressers car!" often by me as well!!!
I have the confidence of knowing its actually way better than that so such remarks don't bother me in the slightest, no come back is neccassary just enjoy your car for the reasons you bought it, anyway mid engine rear wheel drive would mean nothing to these saddos!!

My dad once insinuated that my car was a bit hairdressery - but quickly took it back when I reminded him that his last car was an aquamarine-blue XR3i cabriolet
He then drove it and decided he wants one too

The fact is, people will be a tad jealous. I for one have been guilty of calling porsche boxsters "a poor mans 911".

Got told that a few times in the last mk2 i had (might have had something to do with the colour (Yellow ))

My response was always, yes, but a 280hp hairdressers car

No-one has ever referred to the mk1s as a hairdressers car to me

Crikey, if you think you have it bad driving a 122bhp Mk1, just think about me with my X1/9s.

My first one was 1300cc and had 73bhp A proper hairdressers car

So I bought the much much more powerful 1500cc version, a full 85bhp !

I fixed that later on and fitted a proper engine

cant say ive ever heard that one its normal thats an 80's cheese wedge what do you want one of those for? well im not fussed its one of the most fun cars you can get for your money and they would soon eat their words if i ever took them out in it
as for hair dressers cars well thats the mk3 it has a handbag storage speace behind the front seats!!
