[Mk1] [Generic] Mk1 Active Sub-Woofer Wiring

Post by Eternal Renegade »

Hi guys, I have a Mk1 B Tomato (Toy-MR-2 ?) . I’ve already changed the main speakers for some 4” & 3” Pioneer stuff I last used 30 years ago (the stuff we hang on to!) which all works fine but not enough punch.

So I bought a used Toyota active sub that bolts down under the drivers seat; found the wiring harness and plugged it in – so far no probs. Trouble is nothings coming out!

The wiring diagram says there should be 7 wires
4 to speakers
1 to radio
1 to power on
1 to earth

Sounds right but there’s only 5 in the speaker and harness plugs.

The only other fly in the ointment is that I’m using a Blaupunkt DAB radio but at this stage that wouldn’t account for the lack of wires going into the sub. It does however have connections for the sub.

Anyone got any ideas please?
