[Mk2] [Turbo] Nur spec flexi repairs..80mm flexi?

Post by Dangerous »

Iv'e got a bit of a problem..... My Nur spec flexi is blowing for no apparent reason (thiers no damage)
the only thing that could of effected it is the hard launches at santa pod its received.
Nur specs are an 80mm bore (3.25") and the only flexi's I can find are 76mm(3")
What has everone else used to repair thiers..??

The reason I ask is I will running ALOT of horsepower and feel the slightly smaller diameter in pipework may prove a small but unwanted restriction.

This is the main concern I have as I need to replace the flexi pipe A.S.A.P as I'm worried it will fail the M.O.T. (I shall find out tommorow!!!)

Can some one do some digging around to try possibley to supply me with an 80mm flexi???

Thanks in advanced... :thumleft: :?

Not much help to you, but my local custom exhuast place does them for 165 quid fitted for the 80mm. The downside is that it's in Hillington near Glasgow. But surely if they do it, then somewhere else will stock the same stuff. :D

i remember there being an affiliate or poss 'individual' on here once that sold large flexi pipes.. with options of HD interlocking internal types, or cheaper ones.

cannot remember off my top of head who it was tho.. maybe someone else can chime in and can help further ??

I had to go to Longlife exhausts to replace mine, may be your only option.

ring round your local H.G.V companies and H.G.V.repairers.

They will have suppliers for 80mm and way beyond.

Thats how I repaired mine.
