[Mk2] [Turbo] Electric Aerial Question

Post by Moo »

I've just installed a Kenwood head unit in place of the stock unit but the electric aerial raises every time i turn the kenwood on. On the standard stereo the aerial would only go up when the radio was selected and would stay down when listening to cd's but with the Kenwood it goes up every time. Is there any way to stop this happening short of disconnecting the power to the aerial?

This happened to me so I just wired a locking push to make switch up and put it in one of the empty spaces near the fog switch.

You don't have the TA (Traffic Announcements) switched on on the unit do you?

I have this problem also, If its wired to the blue and white remote 12V then its always up regardless of TA.

the old sony had a second blue wire labelled..."antenna remote" which I think worked, but looking at the pins and socket setup on the Pioneer this wire is not there - arrhg, jamming another one in hasnt worked so far

apart from chucking a switch in, is there anything else that can be done?!
