With reference to your exhaust, as someone else pointed out....it is an offence to have any non-standard exhaust on your car:)

How crazy is that? why are companies allowed to sell them over here then? i could half understand it if they made them put a disclaimer on like "Only intended for ornamental use" like they do on most samurai swords. also what happens if they don't make your car anymore like the mk2, or it's an imported car that's never been on sale here, like the mk2 tubby?

well technically they dont make the exhausts for the rev1 turbo anymore. Didnt they stop making them in 2001? :-k

(bobby hopes the next copper who pulls him knows the 10 year rules but not TOO much about the tubby)

I'm also curious about this. They say no noisier than std but the tubby surely can not be classed like this as it was never av here, the only way u can get one is if its been imported and loads of them probably come over already with modded zorsts?

There have always been things that are legel to sell/own but illegal to use. It used to be the case with radar detectors up until a few years back.

All cars have a "standard" exhaust import or otherwise.

Let's be honest if your going to import a car that was never offically available in your country, your wide open to falling foul of local laws and regulations....all part of the fun :D

i got stopped for having tb,s on my astra,i bet it was louder than your exhaust(i had to wear eardefenders)anyway the copper said it was too loud and i would have to remove the offending parts  .i said no way,he got really pi$$y.i calmed down and he let me go.i was so annoyed that i drove straight to the nearest police station and complained.i got the copper on duty to come and listen for himself.i had to explain the mods and he said i do not see/hear a problem.so i did not return it to standard and i would not of done so

Me to m8, i start mine up every morning at 4am lol.... i shouldnt laugh really as if it was someone else doing this i'd go mad.

You want to try driving with the nur spec baffle in for a bit, then take it out.... it really does make you realise how loud these are... i think we just get used to the sound.

I was thinking of swapping for a mongoose, but someone just said they got 102db from there goose, so whats the point

4am every morning!?!?!

I remember when I had my baffle fitted, hated it. Came straight out lol.

Swapping the Blitz for a mongoose, hmm reckon you'd regret that. I had one, was quite droning....where the Nur spec gets a bit droning at 3K RPM, I found the mongoose on mine to be droning all the time :(

Like you say, doubt you'd get anything better by swapping for a 'goose. :-k

i think the mongoose is definitely alot quiter than the nur spec, had mine sound tested @ 4000 rpm and i think it was 88 or 89db (not sure it was about 2 1/2 years ago) and that was with a down pipe as well.
