And its JAP of course!!!.

Thanks, I'll pass that on to the brotherhood. They'll be very happy to know that you'll accept us as being in the same class as a car designed 10 years ago :D

EVO in the same class as the MR2? :|

Something I'll have to disagree with I'm afraid.

Id have to agree. Theyre not even in the same league tbh. An evo is a proven rally monster and as much as the '2 is a great car is not a match for an evo on the twisties at all. The straights i wouldnt know as i dont know many evo drivers (above 21) who boot it in a straight line. Thats not what the car is for.

Still not an FTO tho! #-o 8-[ ](*,)

the m3 may have 50:50 distribution, but does the rev3 tubby not have almost 50:50 and the rev 1/2 have 49:51 front/rear?

two different cars. personally, id go for a rev 3 tubby and as dino says a 330d and still wouldnt have spent m3 money!

MR2 is rear biased tbh.

I've made a complex spreadsheet that allows me to "move" certain components around the car, in the hope to get closer to 50/50, but believe me, it's no easy feat. The best I've theoretically managed is about 45/55.

Still, set up the MR2 chassis properly (and IMHO, I think this means proper coilovers, as the standard setup is way too stiffly damped!), and it can be made to handle and grip VERY well.

If you did that, then the static weight would go up from 1300kg to just over 1500kg. I think I'd rather live with the imbalance! ;)

before the hybrid turbo i smoked a new M3 on the m25 started at 50mph with me 5 car lengths behind i caught him at 140 and was a car length ahead at 150. He genuinely looked like he thought his car was broken.
