I liked the modernised standard look too. Best mods IMO:

- Mk3 MR2 wheel (OEM, 3 spoke)
- Gen7 Celica leather seats (very oem)
- LEDs in side lights, number plate lights, interior bulbs, and brighter reverse lights
- Raybrig or otherwise clear headlight lamps. The low rise GTO lights are even better but a big job.
- Gloss black or your preference of subtle paint colour for interior plastic centre stack area. Gloss / piano black looked great in mine.
- Standard 15" rev5 alloys spaced to fit arches better. I think I had 15mm on the rear and 3mm on the front but I forget. Made a great look. Regret changing for aftermarket 17s but tyre demands dictated it. Looks so good lowered 30-40mms

There were lots more too :thumleft:

Mullen - Would you recommend the eBay crystals? I'm keen on a set of raybrigs myself. Am I right in thinking later mk1's, some celicas and some hiluxes share the same lenses?

They're better than the 23 year old OEM lenses I had that's for sure.
Can't comment how they compare to Raybrigs, etc as I've not tried them or seen them on others cars at night.

The S2000 aerial is practically a straight swap, remove old aerial fit new aerial. You will need a 20cm aerial extension lead and will need to wire a +12V feed to the signal booster.

Pic of the S2000 aerial, got mine on Ebay for £40.

For anyone interested in the smoothed scuttle and other goodies (including aeroware lip) - http://www.carbenfibrecreations.co.uk/store/index.php

^ maybe flogging a dead horse with that but I'm sure it may be of interest to somebody who missed it first time round.

Stu - was the steering wheel badge a straight swap? They're all nice touches and similar to my current line of thought.

I bet with a very clean car (like above) the midship front badge throws a few non mr2 people into thinking 'wtf is that' - which ultimately can be a good thing :)

Steering wheel badge is just stuck over the existing badge (from ebay) and could ideally be a few mm smaller as not perfect.

Yes, without seeing the MR2 badge on the back the car does fool some people.

I've also recently swapped the front and rear badges to the dark grey anniversary ones, a small modification but I prefer them to the chrome ones.

Also fitted some stainless steel speedo dials illuminated with EL panels behind them.

Didn't catch on to that at first. Standard MR2 clocks with EL Panels. Tell us more Nic?

If you use the standard bulbs/LED's behind stainless steel dials you don't get an even spread of light through them. Behind the SS dials I used red and blue gel film and then behind that used an EL panel to illuminate each dial. The odometer and needles are lit from behind with white LED's in place of the normal bulbs.

Sorry it was a while ago now and I can't remember exactly, but any 12V source that comes on with the ignition will do.
