if its wrong i stand corrected but i did hear it from a good source. I won't say who incase that person is wrong as it looks like xxxx stiring. don't want to cause problems for them.

I think sleeves are the way to go to be honest, they've been proven many times in other cars so should be successful for ours as well.

I think fensport should have been using sleeves along time ago to be honest and they would have been far ahead of the game by now, there car is impressive but people are starting to nip at there toes regarding power and performance, although i do admire there attitude towards fit and finish, with the use of motorsport fittings on everything to keep silly problems like leaks to a minimum.

I can tell you first hand, the source is wrong. I spoke to John this weekend about Adrian's engines.

When i spoke to Adrian last, he was saying if he wanted to build an out and out drag car to compete with the likes of the top contenders at TOTB, he'd use the MR2 with a 3SGTE lump. The Celica on the other hand is an all round car. It has tons of power, excellent grip being 4WD and road worthy. In-fact its just like a mouse on the road until you put your foot down! I don't think you can compare any of the top cars at TOTB with the Celica. Yes they may have more power, but come on, lets face it, there not honestly road worthy are they?

fair play with the mr2 situation :D be good to see what they come up with.

I like there celica and corrola, keeping it totally road usable and still being very quick. thats were it counts if you ask me. yes a drag car is one thing but being able to take it to the shops and still do a 10sec 1/4 is a harder task is you ask me :D

Surely thats what Hyde is! Not only does he autocross it, but use it on the street then pula 10sec 1?4 og then for good measure win a few hillclimb trophies too. It surely has to be one of the best most rounded 2s out there.
