DO NOT what ever you do, start fiddling with the coil and leads in the rain to see if that's the problem. My old Tubby had similar symptoms so, whilst it was peeing down, I opened the lid and had a prod about at the leads etc....

It would appear that the coil had cracks in it that were not only letting water in, but letting current out!!!

Played crash test dummy once too.

This hurt quite a bit. Not just because of the head on impact. But because it was my first 1.5's first day on the road.

Still, I proved the shell was tough enough to stand a decent whack. :mrgreen:
