A good tip here is to look at the AE86 forums as putting in cams is very popular as opposed to hardly anyone seeming to do it with MK1s.
Club 4AGE is probably a good bet to check out too.

You'd be wanting a set of their KK101s.
Isn't that above the maximum limit on the lift with standard shims?

I've subscribed myself to the AE86 forum now, just waiting for activation.
I have emailed both Cat Cams and TED Components for prices - they do a good selection of cams it seems.

8.9mm is higher lift than the HKS (8.1/8.3). Just might be worth checking the stock springs can take it. I guess we are only talking half a millimetre.

I had an email back from Cat Cams with prices for the following:-
Part No 7105136 252/238° degree with 8.5/8.0mm lift = £351 + VAT
Part NO 7105137 260/252° degree with 9.0/8.5mm lift = £351 + VAT
Have sourced a different brand for £75 in this country
Going to have to look into the shim situation as well although i may be buying a ported and polished head this week so will have some spare shims
No Peter its someone from the mk1 club but I cannot find the name of the motorsport company who apparently did the head work on google or anywhere so not going near that.
