Good news!

Looks awesome and while I can understand putting more aggressive looking wheels on it I can't help but think it's well suited to the teardrop's it wearing at the moment as it is.

Gar looks really great Gary :thumleft:

Teardrops suit it but I like to see them with more modern wheel designs

I like mine on Mk3 wheels after having it on teardrops for 14 years :)

Will you be using the car yourself ?

hi , i will be using the car myself and i will put the wife on the insurance so she can use it ( see is a very good driver luckily) but i will have to test run it first before i let her behind the wheel . i have already found and fixed a leaking front pipe . the engine will have a full service at the weekend including cam belt change as it was last done in 1996 at 59000 ,its now done 80312 so its due a change .i am thinking of bbs type wheels deep dish to finish it off but mirror polish tear drops with a red pin stripe round the rim might look nice .

the first time I saw the paint scheme I though ew not original but after reading your thread again ,its really grown on me eventhough I'm an OEM kinda guy lol ,great job on the body mate ,Ive just bought one and even though its got 10ton of waxoyle everywhere it still has some rust ,these cars where such fantastic little things its such a shame they wernt built with todays steel and paint processes

The wheels look great, but i'm not a fan of the black sidestrip, black skirts/front spoiler would complete the look for me.
