Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil Pressure/temp
i fitted mine tanite buddy and took loads of pics so you can copy

the stock sensor it the one with the yellow wire coming from it, disconect the plug and use a spanner to remove it from the head.

sensor out

with the braided line/fitting i posted there will be a little copper fitting use a bit of PTFE tape this can be found from any plumbing outlet, or b ang q etc, wrap a small amount around the thread and srew in the head as pictured

then fit the line to the fitting

aftermarket sensor in the side and stock in the centre of the fitting, remeber you may hav to exstend the yellow wire coming from the stock sensor this is easy enough though

they supply a fitting braket with the braided line so put it around the large nut and fix into place, plug the aftermarket sensor cable into the back of the gauge then power supply job done

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil Pressure/temp
thread revival!!!!!!

can anyone tell me where the sender for the boost gauge is??? do i just use the stock one?????

coz i snapped it
so the stock gauge doesn't work now, not that it's a problem as i have after market boost gauge

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil Pressure/temp
The pressure sensor for the boost guage, oem, is next to the diagnostics plug.
.
.and is useless for your boost guage.

You should get everything you need to fit when you buy the guage.
.
.have you bought? if not then get it from r-speckers.
.
.I have their stepper peak/warning series in my car.
.
.accurate, look good, can have them lighting up red at night if you want and much less than defi etc, you want something that is accurate and reliable if your removing stock items.

You should get everything you need to fit when you buy the guage.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil Pressure/temp
thanks for the help, i'm sure it's a wee blue plug a snapped, dunno if it's just the actual boost gauge i've broken or if it the sender or what??

i've not a bought a boost gauge yet(not a stepper one anyway), i'm using an after market mechanical one, but, i wanna change due to the accuracy of the steppers

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil Pressure/temp
ah cool, na, it's not that i've broken then, it was when i was fittin(it was actually the foreman of arnold clark who's a friend of mine who was trying to help) my boost controller, wee plug, very hard to access, anyways, the boost gauge(stock one) stopped working after that

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil Pressure/temp
Mine has never worked and has been unplummed and unplugged for 2 years.
.lol.
.think my Mines ecu removes fuel cut or raises it or whatever.
.
.fk fuel cut is for girls anyway.
.
.hahahaha.
.I'm sure that an after market fuel cut defenser wouldn't break the bank and is a good idea really.
.
.tbh I don't think I have ever hit fuel cut, and I do give it the beans.
.
.maybe I need one aswell.
.
.I could wear my nice flowery skirt when I fit it.
.lololol.
Where abouts was the little thing that you snapped sheppy?
