I had some very rare

(out of the phoenix power catalogue) when I got my Rev 3 and they were awful.

Rock hard no matter where the damping was set.

It made the car skittish with no progressive control.

Probably perfect for the race track but useless on UK roads.

I think people go overboard with coilovers, as 80% of people will put them on and never adjust the height or damping ever again! So short of the weight saving they are no different to a fixed strut.

Personally I find stock bilstein on a decent lowered spring more than capable in most road situations but its all individual opinion
