Not disputing the performance, its the 1980's Datsun Cherry evolution 5hiote styling !!

I once had a debate with someone with a Sierra Saphire Cosworth appearance V's an MR2... lol !! Are they blind ??! 80s rep mobile in abundance V's low production ( in comparison ) mid engined sports car ???!!

Dont get me wrong, I'm not biased and saying the MR2 is the best looking car in the world, its just the comparitive factor of the cars in discussion.

Toby, you can have a two step limiter on the engine based around ignition cut :

1st step - ie.. Around 4K to get the turbo spooling on the spot, so when you drop the clutch.. you already have a charged power going to the wheels.... no need to wait for turbo spooling... 10psi on the start line...

2nd step : ie. Set it around 8K so you can do full throttle gear changes... basically not take your foot off the throttle and go through the gears.

You can get 3 step limiters which just introduces another rev limit ie. 6K for burn outs on the lines prior to launching.

The preference to kill the ignition over fuel cut ( a lot of ecu's ) as the the ignition cut type will still flow fuel through the engine and keep things cool - but also causing explosions through unburnt fuel igniting with the hot turbo / exhaust. The fuel cut will generate a mass of high exhaust gas temperatures which can expire your engine very early and your turbo chargers....

Generally, both are turbo killers !!

the greddy asks what type of rpm signal you have... mine was set to RPM style, but im sure it needs to be a crank angle type??? :?
