Has anyone ever applied dead mass to a boot lid mounted wing to find out at which point you get suspension deflection as opposed to the wing and lid folding? if so what wing, mass and what was your spring rate?
Please correct me if I'm wrong but it requires static suspension deflection to assure genuine down force is applied to the car. Then you need to determine the speed at which a similar air mass against your wings surface area will generate that weight (or does it become a force under motion - physics ppl please respond it's been a while...)
I've been trying to work out what (if any) type of aero mod is required at the back end of an mr2 and so far the stats seem to suggest that any type of wing needs to contact the rear end of the chassis and not the boot lid.
thanks

not overly sure if I understand your post properly but isnt this
(as outlined in your post) why the cars in btcc now have the spoiler attached at the chassis at the rear?
