Toyota side strip Not sure if this is original?

Post by Tiny »

saw this on PH and think this is an aftermarket addition as its the 3 circles rather than the eagle on the side stripes

the three circles "circles of perfection" logo is later than the MK1 so not not original

Me too, with some smaller more tasteful (but still red) wheels and a Toyota logo from the right decade that'd look really good.

Love the stripe - but follow it all the way round!!!!!! Thats what I say.

Hate the wheels though - god they're awful.

Stripe retro cool - but why use a '90's toyota emblem? total wrong era - then again it could be a naff flying chicken decal :clown:

I like the red stripe - but it HAS to go all the way around in my book! It looks half finished just across the doors..........

I think it'd look a bit much going all the way around, front bumper especially would look naff with a thick red stripe across it. Maybe continue the thin stripe on the top all the way, but taper the thicker one down to a point on the section in front of the front wheel.

just needs to be faded into the front bumper to look "finshed off"

have to agree about the wheels though

Absolutely agree with Kevin here. Great example using the GT3rs, just would be perfect for the mk1 pictured.

Would actually prefer a GT3RS though 8)

I have genuinely had it in the back of my mind for ages now to do that type of stripe on a white MK1 only in blue with blue wheels
it just seems to suit a MK1s lines
