Door problems

Addressing an old problem on my Mk 2 Turbo rev 1 90. The Door doesn't seem to sit flush when it's closed. It's secure when it's closed but does leave scuff marks on the plastic door sills.

Is it a hanging problem or are their different doors for different models and revs?

Further to that has anybody got a right hand (drivers side) door section avaliable? The small ally section which sits on the door card surrounding the door handle?

The doors where physically the same between all revisions with minor changes to the rub strip (I think).

Does indeed sound like the door isn't hung properly, oh er lol. You need to remove the front wing to gain access to the hinges and then it's a case of trial and error.

It's a royal pain in the ar$e tbh. The bolts which attach the hinge to the body are tapered so you can't really go wrong with them unless both hinges are on the way out. I've done it by closing the door, then loosening the bolts that attach the hinge to the door, realigning the door and then nipping the bolts up - the problem with that approach is that you can't align the door with the wing because the wing's off the car That said, mine does rub on the sill trim just on that one bulge on the bottom of the door.
