In that case you'd need a heavy duty, something with a higher ampage than a normal mr2 battery.

Hmm...What sort of "gadgets" are you referring to..?

When the engine/ ignition is off, then the current drain should be tens of milliamps max...
When its running, the alternator will provide all the juice for powering anything electrical: the battery then becomes little more than a big capacitor...!

So, you're either worrying unnecessarily...or, if you have a 2kW stereo, or the like, then you'll need a bigger alternator, too...? :thumleft:

If your concern is the battery draining whilst standing for a couple of weeks, then any new, decent battery should hold its charge fine: if not, then you'll probably have something draining current somewhere....?

I got myself a LION battery from euro car parts, had them in the past and never let me down. Apparently the technology is newer in the LION compared to the BOSCH, at least the one's that was from euro car parts.

This link is hand as it gives the size of the MR 2 battery according to their list. 60 AMPS POWER should be okay? Halfords do this?

Listen to this man, he speaks the truth. The battery is only needed to start the car, once it's running the alternator powers everything.
