Drove My new Mk1 today OMG i had forgotten how good!

well i picked up my black mk1b from jinxys today.

We went down town to get some Tax and then picked up some bread and a friend phoned and cant remember the name but unowho asked for a hand putting up a santa.

Jinxy loves Santa............

Anyway moving swiftly on!

Got in the car and just have totally fallen in love with driving again!
the throttle the noise the steering the handling. Wow just wow!

am i going over the top :-s

Freaking Mk1s are Awesome!

Yup, I drive all manner of cars at work, and yet nothing is a patch on the MK1 even with 20 years and 120k under its belt. Simply great cars with an unrivaled smiles per gallon factor!

I think it's shame that so many of them don't get driven. They're not cars your should SORN, just get them undersealed and rock on through winter. They're more fun on damp roads and their headlights are fine for dark winter nights.

Ben, its a pleasure to sell a car to somone i know will absolutely look after it, you will be a great asset to the mk1 crowd & im sure we'll see you at plenty of the mk1 shows next summer :clap: :thumleft: .

Thats just with a basic wash over and a hoover out.

I really cant wait to break out the megs and buffer. It will shine then feb its sprayed up!

Nah, looks good - they are so addictive to drive.

Ben - glad to hear you're so happy with the Mk1! Every time I've driven one (tends to be a while between drives for me! :lol: ) it's really made me fall in love again...

Shame I didn't know you were coming up this way or I would have popped down to say hello and have a nose at the car, am only 10 minuts up the road from Jinxy, or Kinxy.

Guess I would have had to clean it though!

I don't know. Jinxy was trying to persuade me when I bumped into him at the bread counter of my local Tescos. I am just not sure of the long drive on my own.

well im going by myself as my mate has backed out of being my copilot for the week as hes now going to spending most of may june and july in costa del afghan.

Well done Tiny - hope you will enjoy the driving as much as I have in the last 13 years of MR2 MK1 ownership.
Good pictures too! could you put arrows on them to show which ones are jinxy and which ones are Santa!
