[Mk2] [Turbo] My car will not idle and keeps stalling..

Can someone please tell me would the dizzy cap from a revision 1 fitted to a revision 2 mr2 turbo cause the car to not idle properly and sightly missfire and stall at low rpms but when the engine is being revved seem to run fine.

I bought my mr2 revision 1 with a revision 2 engine fitted to it so i am unsure if the previous owner just fitted the old rev1 dizzy cap and its causeing the car not to run rite or if i have a different problem like mabe the timing is slightly out or have a vacuum leak could be to blame.

Will this 3s-ge dizzy cap work ok on a rev2 turbo 3s-gte engine.
The seller seems to think it will work fine but thought i better dubble check before making the purchase...

can you hold the engine at a steady 900rpm with the throttle pedal? COuld be just the throttle stop is needed adjusting, esp with a new engine in there
