[Mk2] [Generic] supra brakes on a sw20??

Post by lewis88 »

would it be possible to fit bigger brakes from a supra onto the mk2 mr2? and if the calipers and disks where bought with the caliper carrier would they be bolt on or need modifying to work? just wondered as ive got 18's so would have thought the disks will fill them a little better, and stop abit quicker

Supra brakes will go on a '2'.

Mick aka Topgun is running them on his TRD No.01 at present.

It can be done, I have put JZA80 323mm front discs onto a 355 lookalike (for someone else) using modified ST205 calipers and caliper brackets. I did have some photos but cannot find them any more #-o

I have used Supra TT front discs with Wilwood Dynalite 4 pot calipers connecting the two with Hux Racing adapter plates, it looks and works great but needs at least 17" wheels.

I have a spare set of adapter plates if anyone is interested.

we have our prototype brackets on our car, weve been running 325mm supra disks for the last 8 months on our brackets. work nicely, will be taking them off soon to have the brackets manufactured :thumleft:

mm and local (almost) too. I can't use supra units, the joys of 8inch et35 wheels, can you adapt the brackets for other discs?
