[Mk2] [Turbo] selling car soon

Post by hicks »

well after 3 half years of mr2 ownership its almost at an end

picking the car car up tomorrow after a gearbox change and will be going up for sale shortly after............

its the longest ive ever owned a car an ive loved my car whenever ive driven it, looked at it, washed it .....

whenever i got out of the mini i would always turn back before i walked through the door and admire it.

just want to say that this has been by far the most freindly car club ive ever been

ive got a mini cooper s at the minute but theres a chance i will be promoted soon and get a company car so the plan is to sell the mini and mr2 and buy a weekend car.

vx220 turbo is top of the list at the moment

or possibly a honda engine elise.

My brother has a vx220 turbo, and they are awesome cars! Recommended!

Not that cheap to tune, but the engine has lots of potential.

And its fun bullying boxters, not only on the straights, but when you get to the bends too!

The only way you can avoid that is by buying a train ticket :thumleft:

i was looking at one on pistonhead that was up for 13k.

black 53plate with a stage 3 conversion and about 240bhp.

all black with sprayed window surround, black wheels a front griffin badge sprayed. very mean looking thing

I know the feeling...

I think your onto a good thing mate - though far too spartan for a daily driver, the VX220 is an ideal track or weekend car.

So much performance out of the box and reasonably priced too.

Good luck. :)

go for a honda elise if the funds alow as this is widely considered the best of the elise,exige,vx220,europa group. They really are very fast and drive very well, although a vx220 turbo is still a very nice car and probabily cheaper. have you considered a 1.8 tubo VAG engined elise too?

not really look at the 1.8t elises.

would rather go for the honda engine as its a much better engine and feel it fits the elise better (if you know what i mean.)
