Hi
Great to meet some new faces, and put face to names etc.

Cool to see another Gold MK1a
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
(after we sprayed ours).
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I LOVED the wheels
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
- they go soo well
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
(apart from the diamante thing going on
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
- youhad to see it to understand LOL)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I didn't get to meet any other MK2 peeps apart from the tubby boys parked in the group, but saw a black mk2 parked away from the rest of us.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
who were you?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
i loved the day, and it was great to have to opportunity to chuck the mk1 around without worrying too much about spinning and causign trouble as there was so much room to play(no spins for me though, just few bits of
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
sideways fun)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
The airfield i thought was okay for run-off TBH, and the scenery incident was really unlucky to travel that far to hit anything substancial
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
(sp?)
Hope you can get it sorted son John

I had a blast chasing down the hot-hatches, and LOL at their 3 wheel antics round the corners.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
The blue caterham i passed, but the 2 or 3 yellow cater-striker
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
- westfield thingies were much quicker
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
(and so they should be).
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
one was bike engined and sounded cool.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Towards the end of the day i really went for it and tried to keep up with one of the yellow cateraham-type i let past.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
He seemed to be trying too and at one point we both went well sideways out onto the back straight
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
- he took out a cone and i had a tank slapper! Chatting to him after he said he had a good laugh at us both when he saw me sliding too in his rear mirror.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
He was impressed that he didn't leave me for dust.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
After 2 laps he only gained a few car lengths, pulling away under power on the straights.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
We both came in then under checkered and i had a chat.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
He had a v-tech 2litre in it.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I think i need to get a track toy like this.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Got home around 10:45 after a lovely meal
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
- thanks Ben for organising this for us.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Thanks Phil for letting me have a drive in your MK1
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Your hard work has paid off, as it feels realy nice to drive, and the seats are well-comfy in comparison to using mine with a cushion
