Tyre/wheel question

Post by SilverSurferMR2 »

How would having 195/45/15 wheels at the front and 195/50/15 at the rear affect the dynamics and ride/handling/speedo reading in a Mk1b MR2?

as the speedo is driven from the gearbox and you suggest 195/50/15 for the rear the speedo will not be affected noticably
as for ride/ handling going to a smaller front tyre the answer is yes they will be affected but as with every tyre/wheel size question the debate as to whether this is for the good or detriment will run for ever

I've ever run different sizes to see how it felt.

you can give it a bash by fitting std wheels to the front and 15"s to the rear and let us know, before you commit to the ones you suggested.

wouldn't give the difference of running 195/45/15 though
