I have just had an e-mail from Kirsty and I will be at Tatton on Sunday - will try and make it to Wiggin Tree on Thursday but it will depend on what time I escape from work and it is a bit of a trek from Windermere but will do my best!

Sorry guys, just found out that there's a VERY high chance that I'm going to be made redundant tomorrow so I'm going to have to give tonight a miss I'm afraid. Sorry

Got to spend tonight thinking of good reason to put forward in a redundancy interview tmrw morning with the big cheese to avoid the axe falling on my head - even tho the decision's probably already been made! and to also try and write a new CV asap as jobs in the construction sector are like rocking horse doodo at the moment :(

Good to see everyone who turned up. The most MR2s in one place at a NW meet in a while!

Image

From left to right:
Si Taylor (MK2 Turbo), Bill Hulme (Auto Supercharger), Kirsty & Dave (Supercharger), Jon Miller (Mk1a), Stewart Cameron (Mk1b) and Barry Pooley (Mk1b).

The change to the meet day, moving it from the Sunday afternoon to the Thursday evening, appears to have been a success. This was the biggest turnout in a few months now. I am not completely sure that Dave who was with Kirsty remembers all of it though as he was wandering around with the biggest glass of beer I have seen in a long while - not quite a yard but not far off!

Just to remind or inform those not in the know please follow this link to details of the changes to the NW meet dates. Also, could a moderator please update the MK1 Club 2008 Events Diary sticky at the top of the page to reflect the change in meet dates.

Sadly while it was very long (ooeer), it was also quite thin. Merely a pint glass I'm afraid :)

What is that on the bonnet of the SC??
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.
