Post by Munnsy »

a stock evo 4 i believe, due to pick up monday,

Anyone had any contact with these, anyone know anything about these lovely cars??

More like 260 standard mate. I think the Evo V was the first 276bhp Evo.

You should expect them to turn into a crashing bore about how the 4 wheel drive system enables them to go round corners at the speed of light... rally heritage... grunty grip... blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

Stock Evo IV = 280bhp 0-60 4.4 secs 150mph, you can always tease her about crank walk though

Oi!!! [-(

An Evo is one of the few things I won't play with. I won't play with Evos or RS4's. I really want to try with an M3 though, I've never had the chance. I have however had a play with an Alpina and stayed with him. He was horrified lol. I didn't even know what an Alpina was until I got home and told my other half that some stupid beamer managed to keep with me and I didn't know why
I've even stayed with a porsche 911

Evo V RS was the fastest to 60 @280bhp with a 4.8 trap (actual test not manufacturer figures) so where u got 4.4 from i don't know.

0-60 5.5

Me either and most drivers will get 5 out of it on a good day anyway, those times are always by the best racing driver they can get. I've had Evos off the line on bone dry days and top end cyyyyyaaaaa (unless they're very modified) like all cars really, you just never know what they have under the hood.

IYes, the Evo VRS was much quicker than any other other Evo

FQ400??

The diiferences between a V and a V RS is about 50kg in weight, the RS came with front and back lsd instead of ayc and a xxxx interior, 1st and 2nd gear ratios are the same i.e 0-60 3rd 4th and i think 5th were shorter and car tops out at around 130mph.

I can't get onto the sites at the moment as i am on works computer so will get back to you on the 0-60 figure.

How do you know most evo drivers get 5 out of them?

So what if it is timed with the best driver they can get, so will all other cars, making it a fair comparison, the point is that the car will do it.

Of course your MR2 is quicker than Evo's, but my Evo is quicker than Ferrari F430's and Porsche GT3 RS's seeing as though i took over them on the Nurburgring Nordschlief and GP cuircuit last Easter.
So your MR2 must be even quicker than Evo's and Ferrari's and Porsches, congratulations and good work, pat yourself on your head and enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling of success :thumleft:

P.S. i couldn't help but notice the lack of MR2 Turbo on the 'ultimate car page'

Although, the Yaris and Aygo are on it

Think you should maybe re-read my post. I said it was the fastest to 60 @280bhp. Obviously the more powerful versions are quicker.

Evo V RS 0-60 4.8, Top Speed 136

I can't remember the 0-100 time.

I had one by the way ;)

Then you should know they are no quicker to 60 than a GSR and certainly no quicker than a Makinen Edition (on the Makinens the turbo hits full boost 250rpm earlier, i have one  )

But hey it pays to do you research................ FQ400 0-60 3.5s

http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/2122 ... Q-400.html

I can't see an RS keeping up with that at the old traffic light grand prix can you?

P.s.i didn't misread your post you just misunderstood mine
