[Mk2] [NA] torque converter fell out
Just after some advice i removed my gear box today and the torque converter fell out when we were putting it on the floor now is it just simply a case of putting it back on the shaft or does anything need to be lined up?
This maybe a dumb question but just want to check before putting the car back together!

you MUST be VERY VERY careful when refitting a torque converter. you must fit it to the box, and as you fit it turn, and listen for 3 clicks. You must get these, otherwise the converter will sit proud, and when you tighten up the gbox bolts it will smash the gearbox oil pump. And they're expensive!

so is it just case of putting it on the shaft and then turn it untill you hear the three licks or is it a case of turn it as your sliding it on?

ok here goes.
I fitted the torque conveter today and i put it on the shaft and turned it.
it clicked twice and dropped down into the gearbox.
The shaft in the middle of the torque converter is now flush with the outside of the bell housing if i but a straight edge across the lot!
Anyone able to help me as to weather this is correct?
