Little fact for you EA have/had an official paid Counter-Strike team and i got asked to join after going into one of there open games and cleaning up most of the people in there and some of the team, don't like blowing my own trumpet but i was rather good at it (rubbish now as i haven't played for yonks). i used to play very tactilely.

I got a txt ovation after killing myself so both teams got some cash rather than non when i couldn't find the last guy as he was camping (If you drew you both got nothing, if you died you got £3000 and the winning team got £12000 IIRC)

But i was on a Cyrix 166Mhz, 128MB ram and 8MB Graphics lol, they went through everything with me and what they pay (Was quite good), but if you lost it you were off the team, you had to attend so many training sessions and travel all over, oh and the machine they said i had to have (as not to give any weakness away) would have cost me about £7000 and i worked in a super market for £3.87ph so that ended that one especially when my mum told me to grow up

Well back on topic. That looks nice

from Game Informer in the US.

- EA has kept alot quiet. More depth than previously thought. credits and nodes. Credits can be used to upgrade Isaac. You can purchase armor upgrades (which reflect on your appearance), weapons, ammo refills, and invaluable circuit nodes. The nodes can be inserted into any weapon to increase its damage, ammo storage and rate of fire. You cannot pump everything into one area, though, since each weapon has an ability tree. Inserting each node brings you down a different branch. Not easy to unearth nodes. You can sell things for more funds for spefici ammo types, nodes and armaments.
- Controls well designed.
- Camera is great.
- Movement is tight yet quick.
- Plasma Cutter is the main weapon. It continues to do the job throughout the game, as long as your aim is solid.
- The Ripper is the chainsaw of the future. Shoots out a spinning sawblade, which is sustained five to ten feet ahead of you and you can move to cut enemies down as they approach. Quick way to kill.
- Each encounter feels unique thanks to different situations and the enviroment.
- Run button availible, but other than when they were running from something big and pi$$ed, they took it slow, as the devs insisted that they jump out of their seat at least once per minute.
- Atmosphere set up to be tense.
- Story told within the gameplay through radio and live video feeds projected as holograms. Rarely taken out of the action for a cutscene. Seamlessly blends action exploration and cinematic sequences.
-Cannot come soon enough. They love it. GOTY contender.

Oh yeah, and the six part comics series is out now and the animated film, releasing on DVD and Blu-Ray October 28th, both provide background info on the story before Isaac arrives on the Ishimura.

So who's picking it up on Friday?

I've noticed that the PS3 games no longer seem to be £5+ dearer.
