[Mk2] [Turbo] Fuel Cut Defender recomendation please

Post by teccyjim »

Need an FCD for my rev2 tubby. Want something easy to install and which preferably has a safe pre-set raised limit e.g MR2 turbo specific.

Any thoughts?

most people use HKS one,

but if ur is rev 2, do bear in mind headgasket, injector size and ct26 is one of the reason factory set it lower then rev3,

if you plan to play with boost on rev 2, better read more abut HG, CT26 and injector before you crank the boost up

didnt consider HG etc but dont want to be going 'balls-out' with the boost. Just the increase to a sensible 15 psi will do for me. Will get in touch with TB.

Steveo: Whats involved with the fitting exactly just splice FCD wire into loom???

its that simple, pull back the carpet in the boot to reveal ECU.take the middle block connecter out of the ecu find the pim wire think its blue wire with black line then connect fcd to it. the instructions TB gives with it are very simple to follow.
