[Mk2] [NA] Air intake temperature sensor unplugged...............................

Post by neil_ross »

Afternoon!

went to check my oil and water and decided to just have a tinker with a few things and noticed my air intake temperature sensor was unplugged!

ive got a bad feeling this may have been like it since i put the induction kit on about a year ago!!! it may have just fallen off but i cant see how as the clip seems quite strong!

now why havnt i noticed this? i would of thought the car would be running a bit rough or something!

Think the ECU runs a factory setting when it detects no signal. So probably losing some power and increasing your fuel comsumption.

Think my sensor is dead as I get this as one of my fault codes.

You may want to reset the ECU now you have plugged it back in.

I don't think Neil meant the wire was unplugged from the sensor. Think he meant the sensor was unplugged from the air intake? :-k So it would've been receiving a signal - just not quite correct though.

aha.

I'd agree with MR2_RICH then

If the sensor had've been unplugged from the air intake, I'd have been more concerned with crap getting into the engine than anything else :D
