I want to change the rotor arm amd dizzy cap on my 1987 MK1 B but the rotor arm will not budge.....am I correct in thinking that just like any other car these just pull off ?

Cheers

Hi brin,

As far as I remember the rotor does just pull straight off its spindle from inside the dizzy cap

I had this problem when i changed mine. It has a spring on the inside that holds it on. I didn't know this at the time so forced it off with the help of a screw driver (i just thought it was a bit stiff). The base cracked and it just fell off. If you gonna replace it like i was then it doesn't matter but be carefull not to break anything else.
