Track Contol Arm

Post by goodfella »

Hi all,

My Mk1b has just failed the MOT due to needing a new track control arm.....the chap sorting it thinks its a TOYOTA main dealer-only job and I cant find anyone when google searching.

Any ideas guys as its looking pricey

Thanks

It is main dealer only part, your best bet is to get a second hand one from either a scrap yard or the many people on here breaking cars. Which one exactly is it you need and whats up with yours as most you can just replace the bushes.

If you get stuck I think I've got one in the garage that's functional. I removed it from my Mk1b when fitting newer ones, because it was bent and rusted solid, but I subsequently managed to free it off & straighten it.

It's not beautiful by any shot but it's serviceable.
