Is this worth having and can it be fitted to an MR2 turbo rev 2?

Looks like a copy of a Garrett GT3076 turbo and it only looks like the turbo unit itself.
To fit it you would need a fair bit of kit like adapter plate for the manifold, new downpipe and various oil and water line adapters.

Ok, but you don't think it is impossible then? ie, completely different flanges. masses of welding etc.

Iv'e imported parts from US before that were extremely cheap but turned out to be good parts I've not had any bad experiences so far.

Yes I can see its a copy of the Garret Turbo, worth a punt though, you agree?

Adapter plate - is this a part that can be bought or is this something to be made in the garage?

have a look at a GT3076 turbo kit for an mr2. you'd need everything except the turbo ... no actually, you'd probably still need to get a real garrett turbo too.

even then, you'd need another shed load of fuelling mods and an ECU to get the most out of the turbo.

Well you could speak to Tim at xxxx, he sells full Garrett GT series kits with all the conversion parts. He might sell them seperately?

The adaptor plate makes the turbo footprint match up with the Toyota manifold then you'd need a completely different downpipe to make the exhaust meet the turbo properly.

The 3076 is also a biiig turbo, unless your engine is built to cope you'll never really see the full potential of it IMO.

It probably wont come on boost till about 4k revs and will need about 1.5bar boost by which time if your engine is standard it will probably be in pieces by the road side.

Ive' got all the mods, just need a decent turbo as mine is on the way out. Its a Turbo Tecnics hybrid.

This is the last part for me now.

Would prefer a GT3071R
