Hopefully the link works
the pictures look clean and interior looks in good condition, mileage is rather high (works out about 114k) but engine doesnt look too bad, obviously it cant show the internals but if this car has loads of receipts and stuff could it be a good purchase? Just done free autotrader check and it's had 6 previous keepers since being registered in 2003, but then, it could be just people buying it and not realising how thirsty they can be or expensive to insure (might just be my rose tinted glasses wanting this to be the case lol)
what do people think?
Don't think-feel; it is like a finger pointing to the moon, do not concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly glory........

looks nice and the seats look in good condition only thing that stands out to me is in the third pic below the stereo it looks like a bleed valve for the turbo but i cant see and thier is no mention of a aftemarket boost guage. If he has just been using the stock one i would be somewhat worried.
but take a look if its local
tbh i have no idea what a bleed valve acutally looks like lol, or do you mean a boost controller?
its a rev1 and as Tiny says the interior does look nice and engine looks standard, one of the first things i'd do is fit an uprated head gasket anyway, followed by some rev2 brakes, before i even thought about upping the power, although i guess a boost guage and controller could be useful to just monitor the stock boost and make sure it doesnt spike and whatnot
I don't have a car at the moment so might give my mate some beer tokens and go have a looksee... I've been wanting a tubby for long time, now might be my chance lol

no the bleed valve is bad! its not a good thing at all its ok as a temporary measure but as there is no boost guage and the one on the dash is about as much use as a condom machine in the vatican for measuring boost.
obvously im just judging this from the grainy pic i can see but best thing to do is ask when you phone him up if he sounds like a chav and doesnt know what its safe to run the boost up to then i wouldnt bother
