[Mk2] [Turbo] Recommended MR2 Specialists In/Near Essex?

I know that 3S are kinda nearby (ish...lol) but does anyone know of any other places that specialise in the MR2 in or around Essex please?

see to be honest mate if you dont go to a specialist like patrick (rogue) in coventry paul woods(woodsport) or 3s you will go to a local garage and risk a botch job if its anything more than doing an oil change or service

if you want something done by a specialist be willing to travel lol us northern scottish lads have miles to travel to get to decent people lol

What kinda work you wanna get done? I normally use Skywalker but he's a bit far from me when I travel from Greenwich. I also use a good garage East London called Spectre Customs. They work on all jap cars and very nice garage there, specialise in all Jap cars and one of the supporting garages for Time Attack.

I also believe they have worked on MikeJC's car in the past and they supplied and fitted my turbo for me...

If you google them they have a website. I got my MOT and service done there not long ago too.[/b]

im bassed near stansted airport essex/hertfordshire way, il only ever use 3s service centre as james has worked on all my mr2s and iv never had a problem to date, guys helpfull and doesnt mind my nuesence calls every other day lol {sorry james}

its a 200mile round trip for me but worth it every time imo, plus some real fun rds down there

imo if the guy who owns the garage owns a mr2 tubby with a t67 then u can be confident all will be ok also works on lockeys turbo beastie !!!

Thanks for the replies chaps! The thing is that I was planning to use 3S but when I called them today they're booked until June - no good for me as it's too long to wait

I've given Kai Performance over in Kent a call but options are always beneficial.

I'm after a service and a clutch change (I have a new Exedy clutch to go in) and I'm aiming to have it done by people who know their stuff as the service history is mostly Toyota or MR2 specialists paperwork...

3s do great value service packs and clutch changes but im sure rogue also do the same prices may vary though

Will do, cheers - I was quoted £375 for a service & clutch change which seems a bit steep when I'm providing the clutch. 3S quoted me £75 less than that...

im having a clutch put in mine next tuesday for £325 thats with a toyota clutch though by a garage ive used in the past, been there a long time very good dont specialise in mr2's but very good service you could do yourself

westfield are excellent and are toyota specialist, they used to work for toyota. I think it's a family business.

They have done work on my old supra and mr2 and see no reason to go anywhere else.

These guys build rally cars and can map pritty much anything, great guys.

Both these garages have been working on my cars for the last 5 years, all work is to an unbeatably high standard. I see no reason to travel miles.

Use westfields for the hands on stuff, and advantages for the tuning and mapping.
