Perspex Spoiler Logo

Post by KD88 »

Is the Toyota logo on the rear window spoiler original equipment and does anyone know where I might get one.

These are photo's of the logo that Tommy Ogle (user name coverco) has made for us. Excellent work and very good price. Highly recommended.
Thanks Tommy.

The only place you might get one is Mr T, if they are still available.

Don't think the logo was ever available seperately, only way to replace it will be to get a complete spoiler from a breaker.

You can get vinyl grapics cut to any design to go on your spoiler. The original lettering is quite easy to remove. :D

If you are putting them on the inside remember they need to be cut in reverse :thumleft:

quite a few peeps do remove the sticker...
I am doing just that for our track car.

I would just get another whole spoiler and bolt it in place - easier

To replace the rear window spoiler you have to remove the interior light and aluminium trim (6 screws), then use a long reach 8mm socket to remove the 5 nuts holding on the outer trim. Then you have to unscrew the top screws in the outer plastic trim. Replacement is the reverse.

To put on a sticker you clean the rear of the spoiler, mark where it goes, peel off the transfer film and stick on.

I know which I would do :thumleft:

I'd be careful of that one, looks like the metal tabs on the top are missing. They get broken off by people who don't know how to remove the visor ( see Tommy's post)
