[Mk2] [NA] Wheel Spacers

Post by Pickzmx »

I have recently bought an MK2 N/A, which has some nice aftermarket 17 inch wheels. These are the same width front and rear (215/40/17) what size spacers do people recommend to get the rear wheels flush with the body?

Also how much and where from for wheel spacers.

Cheers

You want hubcentric spacers for a start. I got 15mm hubcentrics from Demon Tweeks for about £100 but others have found them cheaper. Don't know what size but that will depend on your wheel widths and offsets. If they're 7" with standard offset (45) you'd want about 25mm to bring the rears out to about flush. By the way you also want staggered tyre widths front and back. Standard rears are 225 and fronts are 195 (though I prefer a 205 for better balance and less understeer).
Good luck.
